A HOLISTIC APPROACH
right of passage
Here at Soul Inspired Wellness, Brooke considers birth as a 'right of passage' that should not be ventured alone. Ideally, in addition to your loving partner, a family member or friend, you are guided by another woman, who in many respects acts as a nurturing figure.
Through working with clients, students,
and through my own experience,
I realized I have a unique system on my hands and a desire to share it with others.
As a skilled doula, Brooke utilizes reiki, breathwork, birth art, massage (abhyanga) and other healing modalities, which creates an entire experience that heals the connection between the mind + body and uplifts the soul.
A wHOLISTIC APPROACH
to birthing a Mother
Being a doula with a background in integrative health, I offer wisdom from traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, but also include insights from westernized evidence-based research, which offers continuity of care for women and their babies from a more natural perspective.
My mission is to revive, reclaim and restore the sacredness of birth for women. As well as, supporting other doulas and women's health professionals, like you, create impact, influence, and income in a soulful business and life you love.
My support looks different for each and every client but is always professional, compassionate, and judgment-free. I support women through all styles of childbirth and postpartum, leaving you feeling confident and ready to tackle anything that comes your way as you transition into becoming the kind of mother you envision.
My doula and mentoring services focus on educating and empowering women in such a way that they get to see and experience - their innate power - physically and emotionally. Whether you know your birth and postpartum preferred wishes to be, as a doula, a coach, a guide, I will fully support your journey and midwife your new beginning.
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The moment existed, the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. "
~ Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
I believe that pregnancy is a time for preparation, to engage in a dialogue that thoughtfully questions beliefs and assumptions while gathering and assessing new information from a variety of resources. It is my role as a childbirth mentor and doula to help you let go of achieving a certain outcome and shift your focus on preparing for the uncertainty that comes with becoming a parent. Our prenatal visits and workshops will expand your understanding as we openly discuss your long-held opinions around your self, your relationship, childbirth, and parenthood.
I believe in intuitive motherhood and that you already possess the ability to birth and mother, but may require a little insight to help you discover and validate your innate wisdom within your heart and soul, not in your mind. Birth much like illness and death is a journey that gives us a roller coaster of emotional and interpersonal challenges. There is absolutely no reason one should ever feel like they must journey alone.
Becoming a mother is about coming to the realization of and embodying the strength that you did not know you had.
I believe in order to thrive as a mother you must find comfort in the unknown. To use the time during pregnancy to dive deep into your heart and release any and all limiting beliefs around yourself, your relationships, birth, and motherhood. To recognize that there will always be twists and turns, even detours. That no matter how trusting and informed you are, it is impossible for you to know what to do every step of the way.
I believe our bodies were designed to create and bring forth life. Wow mama, that's one incredible superpower!!! I want you to honor your curves and imperfections, not just the journey. To embrace mystery, uncertainty, and even a loss of control with your dignity still intact.
I believe that the first 6 weeks postpartum you need at least as much if not more attention and care as you did when your baby was in the womb. When you are able to respect our real and unique needs, you set yourself up for a real return to radiant health. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true. If you don't have adequate information and support, you set yourself up for a long road of dis-ease and recovery.
As a doula, I will stand beside you, never wavering, as you find your way through the experience whole and integrated.
You are not alone.
