This is a very special time in your life, you are likely feeling so many emotions and may not know where to begin. These days it's so easy to obtain information from the internet, but it's daunting and leaves you feeling isolated. You will also realize that attitudes towards birth can be polarizing, and no matter how well you know yourself, you may not know what kind of support you'll need throughout pregnancy, labor, and the first few months postpartum. Choosing the right path begins with exploring all of your options—and identifying what’s important to you.

After all, childbirth has the potential to be one of the most significant experiences of your life and I want to ensure that you feel fully prepared, confident and personally cared for well into your first year as a new mother.

It is my deepest honor to provide you a variety of services that support you, mama, in becoming the mother you desire to become. So, whether you’re seeking nourishment empowerment, support, and connection, I would love to guide you on your journey!

“Instead of talking about birth as a natural or medicated, surgical or vaginal, we talked about the transformation experienced by those who live it? What if instead of asking a new parent if they gave birth naturally or with drugs, we asked how birth transformed them? What if instead of asking details about an unexpected cesarean we asked the new parent how the experience impacted them? What if we got curious about the individual rather than putting them in a binary box? Boxes tell us very little about the person or their experience.”
~ Britta Bushnell, Ph.D.

Mindfulness. Education. Connection.

Birth requires a woman to stretch herself far outside of her comfort zone and often times is unaware of her intrinsic value and power. It may seem odd to look at birth like that but it's that simple. Giving birth is the last primal thing we still do so it is important that you (and your partner) are prepared for the unpredictability and the challenges of the path ahead. By spending time together we can reconnect you to that primal and intuitive knowing that which your ancestors once drew upon while birthing their babies.

Remember, the decisions you make for your overall care will have a great impact on you, your family, and your baby. Schedule a complimentary consultation to find out more.

“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth.”
~ Marcie Macari

Love. Connection. Flexibility.

Birth is unpredictable, there can be sudden changes in direction and unwished-for surprises, and you both may begin to doubt your ability to continue on, so it is important to have a doula who will offer continuous emotional, psychological, and non-medical physical support throughout your entire labor and birth.

Does your partner not know how best to support you? Don’t worry, I’m here to support them too! My goal is to help ensure maximum safety for you and your baby and enhance your stratification with the birth experience. "After birth, there is a sacred window of time; a time of complete rejuvenation of a woman's physical, mental, and spiritual health. A time for deep, extended bonding with her newborn. The first 42 days after birth sets the stage for the next 42 years."
~ Ysha Oakes

Connection. Validation. Healing.

After the rigorous and demanding act of birth, the first 6 weeks of postpartum is considered the most critical time in a woman's life. It is a time of massive adjustment, as your body continues to transform, your feelings tend to be all over the place, and your sense of self begins to change and morph. As a postpartum doula, I make it possible for you and your partner to focus solely on your baby's and the family's needs with confidence, patience, and ease. It is my role to nurture and support you with a range of nourishing traditions including:

Please keep in mind that I will also assist with basic postpartum support: infant feeding, infant sleep, bonding between baby and each member of the family, infant soothing, basic newborn care, household organization, and light cleaning.
